Our Bottle Drive was a resounding sucess thanks to the outstanding contributions from the parents and children of our club. This event is truly an example of the level of hard work,
determination and class of The Ladner Stingrays. Thanks to everyone for their contribution. Our Parent's Night was also a big sucess, there again it is the generosity and contributions of our families that made the evening a success. Thanks to Laurel who set up, arranged and ran the auctions, the ticket sellers, Jennifer and Lisa and everyone who attended and contributed.
Plain and simple.....it's how we survive.
Most people don’t realize it but our registration fees only cover about 50 % of our yearly expenses— the major costs our club is faced with are pool rental, coaches’ salaries and meet fees. With ever increasing costs, a main concern of the executive is to keep our fees affordable for all families. We therefore must rely on fundraising and donations for the rest.
"Qualifying" Activities for return of fundraising fee
This year the club, at registration will require each family to supply a cheque postdated to Aug 1 for $ 150.00 ($100 for Water polo, Lil Stingrays and Alumni). Each family will be given 20 tickets @ $5.00/ea to sell for our 42” Flat screen TV Raffle (also other great prizes). These tickets will count for $90 towards ($10/family covers TV cost) fundraising fee. Families will have the option of selling more tickets to complete their fundraising commitment. Also we will be selling frozen pizzas as a fundraiser, people who have tried these pizzas rave about the exceptional taste and quality. Each family will be required to sell 15 pizzas and that will fulfill their commitment. Each year we look into what’s available in ways of fundraising and we believe we have chosen two that are both easy and profitable
Ongoing Fundraisers (while these fundraisers are not mandatory, participation is highly encouraged for the benefit of our children and the club)
- Swimathon- annual mile swim event for swimmers only, participation is expected, good, fun event for the swimmers.
- PUB NIGHT- an event for the parents to socialize, held May 3rd at the Landing.

Fundraising Options
We will sell 1 Book of 20 tickets @ $5.00 and 15 Pizzas @ $10.00 to satisfy $150.00 Fundraising commitment.
